“Clash of the Tartans” (Plaid Gone Mad!)

Welcome to THE styling challenge of 2013- “The Clash of the Tartans!” (Plaid that is…)

So we here at Jerry Terrence ❤ us some PLAID- and we ESPECIALLY love the plethora of plaid looks flooding the runways and blogs for Spring 2014!

Here are some of our faves:

Another thing we would like to point out is this-

“Is it just us, or did the rules of fashion just get overturned???”

We know, right? But take a look at our fashion history over the course of the last 4-5 years (at least), and you will notice:

  • prints being mixed with prints
  • white NOT being worn on Labor Day
  • seasons, along with their traditional color palettes pretty much going backwards (theoretically speaking).

So based on this  theory that “YES, the rules don’t apply anymore”, and discovering a new-found freedom to mix-and-match as we please, we decided to put our beloved plaids to the ULTIMATE test- We put together 3 looks for your style pleasure- and for insanity’s sake we used a different plaid for almost every item (!!!)

Check them out (no pun intended!) below:

Oh, and one last minute tidbit before we sign off is:
If you are going to mix-and-match your plaids, please make sure you keep all items within a similar or complementary color palette! …you don’t want to end up being mistaken for a member of the traveling circus, or do you??? hmmm… 🙂
